What is Worlds?

Conducttr Worlds offers team leaders (facilitators) a selection of ready-made exercises to run without ever using the Scenario Editor

Concepts

Worlds Admin Terminal - dedicated web application with a unique URL for your organisation.

This is where the World Owner and Administrators log in and utilise privileged administration access to carry out a number of key duties, namely:

  • Create Hubs for each entity (e.g. business units)
  • Add facilitators to each Hub and manage them
  • Publish and manage the exercises available for facilitators
  • Notify facilitators when exercises have been added
  • Download exercise reporting

Huba simulation space with a dedicated URL intended to be used by a specific entity such as a business unit.

Scenario Editor - the application used to create scenarios (described in detail elsewhere)

Facilitator Dashboard - the web application used to manage the exercise (described in detail elsewhere). For Spaces belonging to a World, there is a tab labelled "Exercises" - this is where your library of exercises is made available for the facilitator to choose.

Exercise Slot- a dedicated simulation environment that contains an exercise

How does it work?

  • As a World owner, you use privileged administration access to add & manage exercise facilitators to your World.
  • When these facilitators log into Conducttr, they’ll see the usual Facilitator Dashboard plus a new page called Exercises.
  • It’s here that the facilitator can download and run a range of exercises that you’ve made available on the Exercise page.

What are the benefits?

  • Your organisation can run hundreds of simultaneous team exercises without your active involvement – saving you time & effort and ensuring more people are trained each year.
  • Your customers run exercises independently and concurrently while you access performance metrics for centralised reporting.
  • Scale up your exercising without increasing your workload

How it works for Exercise Facilitators

  • Exercise facilitators each have a unique URL which means they can run exercises independently of the other facilitators.
  • After logging into the facilitator dashboard they’ll see a gallery of exercises (made available by the World administrator).
  • The facilitator selects the exercise they wish to run and this scenario is copied from a “master space” into the facilitator’s space.
  • If there is a required team structure with roles, positions and permissions, these are copied too.
  • The facilitator is now free to run the exercise and organise players locally.

How it works for World Administrators

World owners and administrators log into a unique administration terminal which allows them control over the following:

  • the exercises made available to facilitators

  • how the exercises are presented and explained

  • invitations and removal of facilitators

  • downloading of exercise reports.

Each World has a number of Exercise Spaces that hold the master copy of an exercise. Exercises are uploaded to these Exercise Spaces in the normal way from the scenario editor. When facilitators run an exercise they will copy the exercise from this Exercise Space to their Hub Space.

Administrators can notify facilitators of changes to exercises and can add or remove exercises at any time.

Note: facilitators hold a copy of an exercise, meaning updating an exercise does not update the facilitator’s copy in their hub. Facilitators need to re-copy the exercise after the update. This also means that running exercises won’t be interrupted or affected by updates.
