What is it?

In TeamXp it is possible to create a fake phone call using an audio clip.

How to create it?

The steps to follow are:

  1. Create a new content box
  2. Question Type>Widgets>Triggers>Phone Call
  3. Attach an asset (an audio file) for the phone call. You can do this by clicking one of the squares you can find to the right of the content box. Then, a new window will appear and you just have to choose the appropriate file.

Branching off phone calls

If your players decide not to answer the phone call and you want them to listen to the audio, you have two different options.

1. Send the phone call again
Create a loop to send the phone call again every time the click rejected. To do this:
  • Create a timer and link it to the rejected option
  • Set this timer with the time you think is needed for that phone call to appear again
  • Link the timer again to the phone call

2. Send the audio message in another channel as a voice mail
Create a new message in a another channel (like the msngr) to send the audio. To do this:
  • Create a timer and link it to the rejected option
  • Set this timer with the time you think is needed for that content to be published
  • Create another piece of content in the channel you choose and attach the audio used in the phone call
  • To make it more realistic use a persona who is "Voice Mail" and use smartwords to set up the time. If you copy and paste this in the content it will print the actual time: |DATETIME(NOW(), "hh, mm")|

Tip:
Starting your exercises with a phone call catches your players attention instantly.
