If you plan to allow your audience to sign-up via a website form, then the Signup Widget and Widget Trigger allow you to do this. Figure 71 provides an overview of how Conducttr creates and implements sign-up forms:
  1. Start in the Manager Workspace and navigate to Widgets. When you click "Save" on the Signup Widget, the following things happen automatically…
  2. … a Widget Trigger is created that is linked to the Signup form you created
  3. … a new Scene will be created in the Content Workspace called "Signup". Inside will be a verification email and a verification SMS (depending on which information you decided to collect from the audience in the signup form)

The audience experience

The sign-up form looks like any other and asks your Audience to submit the information you've reSceneed (see Section
When your audience signs up via the sign-up form widget, if all information is entered correctly then a pop-up window confirms this. If there are any errors then the audience is prompted to correct the error. Note that it is not mandatory for the Audience to complete all the fields. This means that so long as one piece of contact information is given then an error will not be generated and the subscription will be deemed a success.

Once successfully submitted, the audience is added to the Unverified Email group (and/or Unverified SMS) and a verification email (and/or SMS) sent to them. When they click the link inside the then they are removed from the Unverified Email group.

Creating the Solo Sign-up form Widget

The steps to creating a sign-up form are (the bullets A-F refer to the screen capture in Figure 97):
choose to which character the audience will be subscribed when they successfully submit their form
choose what information you need to collect from the audience
decide if you need to prevent spambots from signing up. If so, click the Captcha.
decide if you need to check the audience date of birth
add links for the Success URL and the Verification URL - these are explained below
Save the settings and then click "Generate HTML". You can now copy the code in the white window and paste into a website to create your form.

 Success URL

This is the URL that is presented to the audience if the form is completed successfully. Please note that the pop-up window presented is small and hence it makes sense to create a specific webpage for this rather than redirect to a full website

Verification URL

This is the website that the audience is redirected to after they successfully verify their email address by clicking the link in a verification email.
