LISA AI Crisis Architect

Meet LISA, your go-to AI BOT for quick scenario creation. In AXS, outline your scenario and direct LISA to generate it. Once satisfied with the results, download the MEL file, and import it to the Scenario Editor. The MEL generated includes Serials, Injects, Channels, Personas, and text content.

Messenger Plus

Messenger Plus is a new collaboration channel similar to WhatsApp. Here’s all that can be done in this release:

Send messages: Users enjoy the convenience of sending messages to fellow players, personas, and groups with ease.

Create and Manage groups: users can create and manage groups, as well as:

  • Access groups profile: easily view group information with a simple click, allowing them to check the group name, picture, and its members.
  • Manage groups: As part of group management, the group admin can add or remove members, while remaining members have the option to leave the group at their discretion.
Ability to share media and links: Write messages and include images, videos, documents, or news article links to support it.

Save draft messages: If you need to step away as you are writing a message, draft messages are now automatically saved in their respective chats for you to revisit and access later.

Unread Message Notification: Players receive notifications about unread chats in the channel, indicating which specific chats remain unread.

Impersonation and AAR: In line with the rest of the Conducttr channel, players with appropriate permissions can impersonate other players or personas and those with AAR assign can contribute with comments.

Empathy and Faction voice

The AI Design Assistant can now generate a wider tone and range of voices thanks to two improvements: the faction description can be used to describe a tone of voice, style of communication or language and a new empathy attribute describes how aggressive or conciliatory the persona should be. The features are:

Faction description: Shape the overall tone of voice for personas in a faction by describing how these personas would communicate. There’s also a handy empathy attribute to bulk configure the empathy for personas in this faction.

Persona empathy: Empathy is set at the level of individual persona within a range of -3 to 3 where -3 is aggressive/confrontational and +3 is conciliatory.

These settings are used throughout the scenario editor.

AI in AAR (After Action Review)

Quickly create revealing AAR observations using AI and several popular assessment methodologies. Players with AAR permission can now utilise AI to assess content and generate detailed observations by selecting from the available assessment schemas. As before, observations are saved in the after-action review report.

Worlds Metrics Features
Here’s all that can be done in this release:

New completion chart:
Explore hub engagement with exercises through the integrated completion chart, featuring two types of pie charts:

  • STARTED chart: Shows the percentage of hubs that initiated the exercise.
  • COMPLETION RATE chart: Displays the percentage of hubs that completed the exercise among those that started it.
The two pie charts are accompanied by useful filters:

  • Exercise Dropdown Filter: Explore exercises with the ability to search and select. The default is the first exercise on the list.
  • Hubs Dropdown Filter: Default setting is 'All hubs,' with multi-selection and search options available for filtering.
New progression chart (Completion time & hubs per milestones):
The new progression chart offers two distinct views, allowing you to track hub engagement with exercise milestones.

  • Completion time view: Now, you can check completion times for each milestone in a selected exercise.
  • Hubs per milestones view: Track hub milestones, counting how many hubs reached each specific milestone.
Ability to “Delete” all data:
Deleting data from Worlds Metrics is now simplified. Choose a timeframe, type 'DELETE' to confirm in the pop-up, and receive a notification upon completion.

Admin Area Features

  • New column (No. of seats available): New column in Hubs list displays available seats (players) for each exercise.
Email Setting Features

  • Welcome email: Customise the welcome email for hub facilitators, including subject, colours, images, title, text, centre image, and button colours, for a personalised welcome experience.
  • General email: In general emails (2FA, Set Password, Reset Password), customise the subject, header logo, and centre image for a personalised touch, while keeping the text in the email body consistent.
Worlds General UI Features

  • Deactivated hub page: Now, users will not see the Deactivated hubs page anymore. The page is now hidden and the deactivated hubs are simply tagged as “Deactivated” in the Worlds hub window; making hubs management effortless.

Improvements

Hub Improvements

  • Reordering exercises within a hub: Organise exercises in your hub as you like, and changes will reflect in the facilitator dashboard for a seamless experience.
  • Every hub has a unique name: Give each hub a unique name for the web address. If the name is taken, a quick message prompts admins to choose another before saving.
Worlds Metrics Improvements

  • Improved exercise popularity chart: Now, a simple toggle on the exercise popularity chart lets users see hubs actively participating in a specific exercise.

Conducttr Lite Mode

Conducttr Lite mode hides more advanced functions and options, providing a simplified and focused user interface. Lite mode also hides certain advanced channels. You’ll be able to maintain state between modes, since functions and channels that are active in Pro mode will be retained when switching to Lite mode, ensuring a seamless transition.

InfoMap activities configuration

Now you’ll be able to configure Infomap activities via the AirApp. The exercise will come with a list of default activities, allowing authors to edit them or add to them according to their needs. Media library usage filters: We’ve added the usage filters to the media library, so you can see if media is used in injects and Pol, historical content, or unused.

Pol improvements

We've made some user experience improvements on Pol. Now when you create a new scenario, a Pol library will be automatically created and paired with it. We've also added a button that allows you to add stacks automatically to the Deck without having to navigate away and configure it.

General user experience and UI improvements
We’ve made several changes to improve and simplify the user experience in the scenario editor.

  • Simplified the main menu

For new installations (PC):

New features:

  • Web 2.0: We’ve done a revamp of the website channel to bring the real web experience to your exercises. Now you’ll be able to add keywords and descriptions to your webs, promote them and boost your search rankings. You’ll also be able to customize the search icons, generate spoof URLs, and personalize the browsing experience with different tab configurations. Your players will be able to use the web channel just like the regular web: find websites through keyword searches, see promoted webs, enjoy seamless navigation with back/forth buttons, open and close tabs and searches, have simultaneous web searches, use the search bar to copy or fin URLs and so on.

Details

For authors

-Keywords and description: Now you will be able to add a website description and keywords, which will enhance the web search ability for your players.

-Search result ranking and paid promotion: Now you’ll be able to use website result ranking and paid promotions, ensuring that relevant and sponsored content receives appropriate visibility.

-Tabs configuration: You’ll be bale to configure what tabs you want to opened from the start of the exercise, as well as indicating the order of appearance.

-Default web and search icon: Now the default page when a new tab is opened will be the search page. You’ll be able to customize the search icon.

- Hover on URL: This allows you to simulate a phishing email scenario where players can verify the legitimacy of a link by hovering over it to reveal the actual URL. You’ll be able to write a URL and link it to a “fake website”, so players verify it.

For players

-Address bar: Now the web channel has an address bar that allows players to search by custom URLs and descriptions. They are also able to copy and share URLs directly.

-Player to reorder/reorganize tabs: Players can now easily rearrange and organize their website channe by dragging and dropping tabs in the desired order.

  • InfoMap without countries/cities names: Now you’ll be able to hide the name from infoMap, in case you don’t want to use real location names in your exercise

Improvements:

  • Factions: We're improving and expanding the factions management. You can now add faction images, enjoy a larger description area, and benefit from A3E integration. Now you’ll be able to change the A3E at the faction level, so the A3E value will be automatically inherited by all personas in that faction. For personas in A3E factions, authors won’t be able to change the A3E of individually. However, authors retain the flexibility to modify A3E for personas that belong to factions without an A3E assigned.

  • Exercise setup improvements: Now, the exercise setup includes additional details such as an exercise image, exercise type, duration, attachments and more. This will provide collaborators and facilitators with comprehensive information about the exercise. • New registration style and options: We have made a makeover to the registration configuration so it’s easier for authors to choose the best registration type for the exercise needs. We have also added a new option in which you can ask players to choose the team they belong to before accessing the exercise. Finally, we have introduced 2 new registrations types:

    • Passcode registration: Now you have the option for players to access the exercise by using an identifier (name, name and last name, or email) and a passcode (numeric code) defined by you. Anyone with the passcode can access the exercise.

    • Single sign-on: Now you can enable single sign-on with Google for your exercise. This option is available as an additional registration for email, or it can be used on its own. You can still whitelist players while using SSO.

  • Password protected files: Now you are able to password protect your sharefiles. This is optional.

Improvements:

  • Publish scenario improvements (Scenario editor): We have improved the user experience for publishing your scenario to a space. Now you’ll be able to change the space, see who’s the current facilitator of the selected space, and you’ll be given the option to change facilitator before and after uploading. • Hubs active

  • Exercise popularity

  • Exercise ran by hub (nested pie chart) - Number of times each exercise has been ran by each hub.

  • Activity by hub (timeline) (stacked bar to bar), filtering by hub and exercise - Number of times exercises have been ran by each hub.

New Features

  • Stack generation with AI: We have integrated with openAI to make the stack generation faster for you. When you create a stack, now you can choose to use the AI assistant. You will have to select a faction of personas and a channel (Microblog, GoSocial, HelpDesk and Inbox only), and write a prompt describing what kind of messages you’d like to  have in your stack. You will get a preview of how the messages will look like, so you can refine the prompt and try again as many times as you like. Once you’re satisfied with the preview, the AI generate will create a message (content) per persona of the selected faction. You can add these messages to your stack, or replace them.
  • Generate messages with AI: When you create a new message, now you can choose to use the AI assistant. You can write a prompt and use the AI button to generate the content. This option is available for news articles, social media channels, Helpdesk, inbox, Msngr, Telegraph and Forum.
  • Generate historical content with AI: Now you can also use the AI assistant to generate historical content for your personas. You will write a prompt and use the AI button to generate 3 different historical messages at a time. This option is available for news articles, social media channels, Helpdesk, inbox, Msngr, Telegraph, Videoblog and Forum.
***Please note we have introduced a maximum of 9 historical messages per persona per channel.

New Features

  • New Helpdesk channel: We are launching a new Helpdesk channel to simulate a ticketing support system (Osprey only). You can send tickets to players using injects or Pol, but also role players can raise tickets during a live exercise making use of the email channel. You can indicate which players will act as agents with a special permission called "Helpdesk agents". Player agents will receive tickets an they'll be able to: reply, add internal comments, change status of ticket, and assign them to other players.
  • Helpdesk stats in Pulse: You'll be able to see the Helpdesk stats in a new Pulse widget, which shows all agents, number of replies, tickets solved, response time and resolution time.
  •  Platform comments in MicroBlog: Now you'll be able to indicate when Microblog messages are sponsored content, owned by a Government or marked as misinformation. You’ll be able to mark messages sent from injects or Pol, and customise the banner colour and text you want to be displayed. Also, you can assign a special permission to players so they either mark existing messages as platform comments, or create their own.

Improvements

  • Improved facilitator menu: We have redesigned the facilitator menu so it’s easier to navigate and use. We we have added the name of the exercise you are running at the top of the menu, grouped some tabs to make it cleaner and improved the sections naming.
  • Map channel improvements: We have made some improvements on the Map channel configuration. Now you can choose to display your map channel from the start of the exercise, without having to send an inject to it first. We have also added the ability to show or hide the map timeline.
  • Exercise Setup page: We have removed some outdated URLs form the exercise setup page and included Pulse. We have included your options for whitelisted players or domains. Finally, we have added information about the Helpdesk channel.
  • Several small improvements:  Now you can configure the log channel for session or for team.  Now authors and players can attach CSV files to emails.

New features

  • Team upload from Facilitator dashboard: Now facilitators are able to upload a team in the Facilitator Dashboard via a file. They will use the same file format used in the scenario editor, allowing them to upload several players and teams in bulk.

The facilitator will see a preview of the team before committing to upload. They can cancel before uploading if desired.
  • MEL prioritisation: We have made some improvements to prioritise the MEL over the Flowchart in the scenario editor, since the Flowchart view will be discontinued. We advise all users not to switch between MEL and Flowchart.
  • MEL improvements and new functionality: Automatic replies to questions are now available on the MEL! Also player actions (move to role and move to group) can be added using the MEL.
  • Reset password for fake/anonymous emails: You have a new option in the team upload to send the reset password link to the facilitator instead of the player. This is to facilitate the use of fake/anonymous email addresses in the exercise (i.e. to hide player identity).

The facilitator has a button next to the respective players, that when clicked, generates a password reset URL. Facilitators can copy the URL and share it with players for them to set up their own password.
  • Whitelisting domains: Now, when you select “only whitelisted” registrations, you’ll be able to choose between whitelisted players or whitelisted domain. If you choose domain, only email address from the domain you indicate can register and access the exercise. This improves security on the exercise without increasing the registration burden.

Improvements

  • InfoMap improvements: We have made some usability improvements to InfoMap so it’s easier for the facilitator to manage the activities, and for players to navigate through messages in the map.
  • Registration and login loading feedback: We have implemented an improvement for the registration and login screen. Now you will get some feedback if the process is taking too long, and you will be informed if the problem is related to the internet connection or if it’s on Conducttr’s side.
  • Personas filters improvements: Now you’ll be able to filter your personas in the scenario editor by usage: Used in MEL or Pol, personas that only have historical content, and unused personas. Also, now personas have information icons that indicate their usage, their content (inject, Pol) and capabilities (role players, map counters and organisations).
  • Pulse improvements:  We have made several improvements to widgets. Now you can set you dashboard to auto-refresh every 15 minutes instead of having to do it manually.

  • Bulk edit personas' historical social content  in Scenario Editor: Now you will be able to import and export all the historic content for social channels of personas.
  • Bulk Engagement Button in Scenario Editor: Now you will be able to apply influence to all the historic content of the personas selected, instead of having navigate one by one.
  • InfoMap (was SocialMap) enhancement: We have created a new version of the social map, which now includes a column with all the messages sent on social media and websites. The message preview includes: sentiment, channel, persona, and ability to navigate to the source of the message. The map also includes an activity view, which categorises messages based on matching words. The icons shown for each activities (categories) will match the list defined in the Facilitator Dashboard. The facilitator can edit the default list of activities, add their own lists, change icons, add matching words and so on. Finally, your players will be able to draw areas in the map to filter the content.

Improvements

  • Personas management filter by tag: In the personas management (Facilitator Dashboard), now you can filter personas by tag using AND or OR logic operators.
  • Alert when personas don’t have an account in Scenario Editor: Now when you choose to send a message from a channel which is not active for the persona, you will get an alert and the channel will be activated automatically.

Security improvements:

We have strengthened the encryption method used for passwords.  We have also implemented a minimum of 12-character requirement for passwords when you are not using 2FA.

What this means for you:

  • When you upgrade to V1.22, you will need to reset your password.
  • When you upload a new scenario, your players will need to reset their passwords too.
  • If you choose to use email registration without 2FA, your players will require to enter a 12 characters password.

New features

  • Telegraph: Now you can have a channel that simulates Telegram messaging app. You can post content to this channel via the MEL. Your players can subscribe to the personas' Telegraph feed and see news and content. Also, players can post content when they are impersonating or role playing. (Please note the Telegraph channel doesn't have chat functionality, so players can not talk with other players via this channel).
  • Relative creation date for personas' social accounts: Now you can indicate a social account creation date relative to the exercise upload time. For example, you can have a persona's Twitter account with a creation date 1 hour before you upload the exercise.

Facilitator redesign

We have made a complete redesign of the facilitator dashboard, increasing functionality, and making it easier to use.

Here’s a list of the main improvements and changes:

  • Menu: The facilitator offers a new menu which makes navigation easier and provides better access to the different functions.
  • Sectioned view: You can have the screen divided in 3 sections, which allows you to have any two items of the menu in parallel for a more detailed view of the exercise.
  • Player view: Now the facilitator always includes the player view, in which you can login as any player.
  • Player activity: We have created a new section in the “Review” area that shows all the open texts sent by players. This replaces the previous Inbox. You can still export all the open texts in a csv.
  • Reports: New section in menu that includes all available reports.
    1. Data report: raw data of the exercise.
    2. Exercise report: Word document with the exercise objectives, all the decisions information, and the AAR comments (the AAR is licence- dependant)
    3. Engagement report: New report with engagement information (number of likes, reposts, etc) for each message in the exercise.

  • Multiple Events Lists: New ability to upload several events list that can run in parallel. You can start and reset each event list individually or at the same time. The events list section allows you to reset everything from an exercise in one go (data, configuration, messages, and first injects). When running multiple events lists, you will have different filters you can apply: see only active lists, see only inactive ones, hide and unhide events list. You can define the multiple events lists in the MEL in the scenario editor.

 New features

  • Personas management: As a facilitator, now you can see a list of all the personas in your exercise and change their details such as name, location, social handles, profile images, and so on. You can also edit the banner of websites or mark websites as hacked. You also have a map view where you can see all the personas (with a given location) distributed in a map. This feature is licence-dependant.
  •  Auto-register players: Now you will be able to auto register players. In the scenario editor, you have the option to add a password to the players when uploading the teams, which will register them automatically with the given password.
  • News articles publication date: Now players can edit the publication date and time for news articles.

Improvements

  • Forum:
    • Now you can add comments to historical posts in Forum Communities.
    • Now you can send injects with comments or replies to existing Forum posts.
    • Now you can export and import communities in the scenario editor.
  • Search box for positions: Now you will be able to search for positions when you are assigning them.
  • Social graph: Now you will be able to hide certain personas from the social graph (the personas won’t show in any social media channel). Also, now you can make a persona follow all other personas in social media with just a click (via the scenario editor).
  • Pulse:
    • General UI improvements to Pulse dashboard.
    • Ability to download reports from Pulse dashboard.
