Please note that there is nothing to install for players. This application is only for authors who create the scenarios.
These are the main stages:
1. download and authorize AIR
2. give permissions to install AIR
3. download and authorize ConducttrTxp
4. alter shortcut that opens emojis when pressing 'E'
1. Download Adobe AIR
Adobe AIR is a platform used for building desktop and mobile applications and provides additional functionalities to OS X system.
➡ Download this file and install it
➡ Click to open Adobe AIR installer. The following message will appear.
➡ To open Adobe AIR Installer, go to System Preferences, Security & Privacy then click on the lock to allow changes. On the message received, click OK.
➡ Once OK is clicked, a message will appear on Security & Privacy. Click on "Open Anyway".
➡ The Adobe AIR Installer will open. Go through all the steps to install it.
➡ After clicking on "finish" in the installation, the following message will appear:
2. Give permission to install AIR
➡ To fix the message above, open Terminal and copy (Cmd + C) the command line below. Paste (Cmd + V) it on terminal. Press command and space to open the search bar. Search for Terminal and open.
Type:
cd /Library/Frameworks
Be sure the command is written exactly as above on Terminal.
➡ Press return on your keyboard. Now copy the command line below and do the same procedure, copy and paste into Terminal.
Type:
sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/Frameworks/Adobe\ AIR.framework
Be sure the command is written exactly as above on Terminal.
➡ Press return on your keyboard. You will be requested to add your password on Terminal.
Please note that it will look like you’re not typing anything, this is a security measure so your password is not displayed, but it will be registering what you’re typing, so don’t worry when nothing happens on screen.
Write your password and press return to authorize the command. You should not receive any messages afterwards, example:
3. Install ConducttrTxp
➡ Download and install the AIR file in the Release Notes
➡ Open the file. A message similar to the one received in Adobe AIR will appear from you.
Go to System Preferences, Security & Privacy then click on the lock to allow changes. On the message received, click OK.
➡ Once OK is clicked, a message will appear on Security & Privacy. Click on "Open Anyway".
➡ Adobe AIR will open and you will be prompt to select a file. Go to the folder where ConducttrTxp file was saved and click on it to run.
➡ Installation will start and Conducttr will open shortly after:
4. Alter shortcut that opens emojis when pressing 'E'
The latest OS of Mac has a shortcut within applications that opens the emoji window when you press 'E'. To change it, please follow these steps:
➡Click the Apple logo on the top left hand corner and go to 'Systems Preferences...'
➡Go to keyboard
➡Click the Shortcuts tab and go to App Shortcuts
➡Click the '+' sign and put All Applications
➡Under Menu Title, input 'Emoji & Symbols'
➡For Keyboard Shortcut, press Option + Command + E
➡Click add
5. Alter shortcut that opens emojis when pressing 'D'
The latest OS of Mac has a shortcut within applications that opens the emoji window when you press 'D'. To change it, please follow these steps:
➡Click the Apple logo on the top left hand corner and go to 'Systems Preferences...'
➡Go to keyboard
➡Click the Shortcuts tab and go to App Shortcuts
➡Click the '+' sign and put All Applications
➡Under Menu Title, input 'Start Dictation...' (these three full stops are required)
➡For Keyboard Shortcut, press Option + Command + D
➡Click add
